AM I BEING HACKED?
This thought is never far from my mind. A hacker will not hesitate to use "social engineering" to get into a system. Are these people really who they say they are or are they really hackers in sheep's clothing, just trying to get me to break into a system for them.
They would need to provide me with enough information to show me that they should, in fact, be in control of that system. Valid account access, system configuration, or other administrative information is appropriate.
Under NO circumstances do I reveal any details that they could not have determined by themselves. NO PASSWORDS are ever revealed back to them.
In any case I would NOT hack into the system in question or intrude beyond the priviledge level they could provide me.
